About
My 41years on the planet have been pretty amazing so far. I’m the proud papa of two amazing little people and husband to an amazingly talented, beautiful woman who some of you may know as @MsGourmet. When I’m not championing social media you can find me painting, pushing a swing, reading a good novel, or defending our environment. I love to play soccer with my boy, make music with my girl, and enjoy mixing a mean martini – in no particular order. I’m led by a deep conviction to raise awareness for those with limited voice and to resist mediocrity and that which undermines creativity and inspiration in life. It’s about giving back and making a difference.
For as long as I can remember I’ve had a deep fascination with human psyche. In the early nineties I studied interaction design, emerging many years later on the innovation side of business somewhere between consumer psychology and rocket science. I’ve worked in the new media industry for thirteen years, founded a successful brand consultancy and since 2003, have focused my career toward pioneering leading edge social media analysis engagement systems.
As I immersed myself in the theories, technologies and processes associated with the rise of a new era of media I realised that success is not about 3 step programs, ad spend, clicks, or ROI. It’s about being real and understanding that we are all driven by an insatiable need to connect and belong. In starting this blog there was no path to enlightenment, no secret herbs and spices; only a desire to share what I’ve learned along the way and to profile some of the amazing people I meet and have the privilege of working with, each who have their own unique take on life and a valuable role to play in shaping the future.
For whatever reason you are here, welcome. ArcaneLogik is a place to collaborate and to share everything from random musings to resources which hopefully inspire ideas and encourage you to embrace the collective more fully. By playing your part you affect change and drive creativity and innovation forward, so most importantly, please take the time to connect.
